Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Cochin
Welcome to Beaches & Backwaters Tour of Kerala
On your arrival at Cochin airport, you will meet our representative who will guide you to the pre-booked hotel. Relax in your hotel for some time and then leave to explore the famous attractions of Cochin. The popular attractions of the city to visit include Dutch Palace which was built by the Portuguese, Jew Town, the 1568 Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and many others. In the evening, explore the markets of Cochin. Later enjoy dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Cochin- Alleppey
After a mighty breakfast in the morning, you will leave for Alleppey. Alleppey is known as the ‘Venice of the East.’ Upon arrival, check-in at the pre-booked houseboat. Later, go for backwaters in the Vembanad Lake. Here, you can also participate in boating, fishing, and other activities. Backwaters are the main attraction of the tour. Also, meet and interact with the local people to know about their unique culture, tradition, and lifestyle. Moreover, you can enjoy traditional local cuisine in Alleppey. After dinner, stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Alleppey – Thekkady/Periyar
Enjoy the breakfast in the morning and then leave for Thekkady which is home to Periyar National Park. On your arrival at Thekkady, check-in at the hotel/resort. Later, go for a boat ride along the Periyar Lake. Also visit Periyar National Park where you can see different varieties of birds and animals such as tigers, elephants, wild bear, deer, and other wildlife creatures. In the evening, you will visit nearby tribal villages to experience their lifestyle and culture. Later enjoy the dinner and the overnight stay at the resort.
Day 4 Thekkady- Varkala
After a mighty breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you to Varkala. It is one of the beautiful places in Kerala and known as a temple town. It is also a beach gateway and home to many mineral water springs. After reaching, check-in at the hotel/resort. Later, visit Varkala to have some beautiful time with nature. In the evening, if time permits visit spiritual and social reformer of Kerala including Janardhana Swamy Temple. Later return back to your hotel for a mighty dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 Varkala
The 5th day of the tour will go into exploring the popular attractions of Varkala. Here you will get to visit
many pilgrimage places including temples, churches, etc. After breakfast, visit the ancient Janardhana
temple which is situated at the cliff top. Later, visit other attractions such as Sivagiri Mutt, Janardana
Temple, Varkala Tunnel, and others. In the evening, enjoy an elephant ride at Varkala. Later, return back
to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
